MEDFitSports Fitness

  • You need a goal
  • You need to measure and intensify training as needed to succeed
  • You need to have variety in your training program
  • Your diet and exercise plan work together to create
    optimal fitness levels
  • You must be mentally determined to succeed

Sports fitness at MedFit is serious business. We want the professional, amateur, recreational and school-aged athlete to have the competitive edge and feel confident physically and mentally. Because MedFit is a multi-disciplinary facility, our professionally trained and certified staff is able to assess your needs and develop a working plan to help you achieve your goal.

A member coming into our sports fitness program will begin with a series of tests conducted and supervised by our staff to “benchmark” their current level of fitness. The personalized fitness plan which is developed will include a means to gauge improvement and map out strategies to increase intensity of workouts until the goal is met. Then, a separate maintenance plan is established and also monitored to be sure the desired level of fitness is maintained.

At MedFit we have a wide variety of techniques that we employ in our fitness training. Workouts need to be changed on a regular basis and at our facilities that is not a problem. We offer:

  • Treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, stationary bikes, step mills . . .
  • Plate loaded, pin loaded, free weights and dumbbells
  • Fitness classes
    - Step, Kick Boxing, Spinning, Body Toning . . .

We are able to analyze your ability to participate in specific sports, make training and equipment recommendations to increase performance and reduce the likelihood of injury.

What you eat has a significant impact on your athletic performance. At MedFit we have a nutritionist on staff who takes an active roll in charting a course to optimal fitness.
